Very carefully packaged for shipment. Item exactly as described. Love it. The two symbols on the front mean "real taste" in Japanese, and the third is a nonstandard character that is probably the name of the manufacturer. The small stamp on the back is the mark (hanko) of the individual craftsman who made the piece. This is definitely a collector's item, however, I'm going to use it to make tea.
